Yogurt made better

This dairy-free and vegan hot chocolate is an easy and satisfying dessert or mid-day treat.  The best part of this hot chocolate is the last few sips – saving a tablespoon of chocolate chips for the bottom of the cup makes for a delicious melted chocolate treat at the end.

Ingredients

  • 3 cups Forager Project Oatmilk
  • 2 tablespoons cocoa powder
  • 2 tablespoons coconut sugar
  • 3 tablespoons vegan semisweet chocolate chips
  • 2 tablespoons vegan whipped cream

Prep

  • Place Forager Project Oatmilk, cocoa powder and coconut sugar in small pot over low-medium heat.  Whisk for 3-5 minutes, until no clumps are present and the cocoa powder is  mixed throughout.  The milk should be hot, but not boiling. Add in 2 tablespoons of the chocolate chips and mix until incorporated. 
  • Divide the remaining 1 tablespoon of chocolate chips between the two cups and pour the hot chocolate on top. Mix delicately with a spoon and garnish with cinnamon, vegan marshmallows or whipped cream.  Enjoy!
