FIRST

 

FATHER & STEP SON - FOUNDERS OF FORAGER PROJECT

Forager Project was created by a father and stepson..

who share a passion for organic, plant-based, delicious food. Each brought the best of their generational perspective. Stephen, an experienced food pro, disillusioned when reading ingredient panels that didn’t jibe with the front label, and JC, a young entrepreneur who couldn’t find the honest food he craved at stores.

The two started Forager Project with pressed vegetable juice and then quickly added nut-based drinks. The journey had begun. Next it was vegetable chips using the juice’s pomace. Cashewmilk led to Cashewgurt, made by culturing the nut milk. All of Forager’s products are organic and made simply and honestly from organic nuts, seeds, ancient grains, and vegetables.

2013 - THE JUICE

COLD-PRESSED JUICES BEGIN

Vegetable juices become main-stream in natural grocery stores

We made cold-pressed juices with our eyes on the emergence of plant-based milks. Our range of organic juices created brand awareness and provided a base for the development of our re-imagined, veggie tortilla chips.

2016 - CASHEWGURT

THE BASE OF OUR ORGANIC YOGURT

Cashewgurt arrived late 2016!

After Foraging to make great Cashew Milk (which started in 2014), we were curious, what else could we make with this high quality base? This led us straight to yogurt. We started with a blend of Cashew milk and Almond milk, and quickly realized that the Cashew milk was better in flavor, texture and how creamy is was. Cashew is the nut that creams! Being relentlessly curious about what do do with the milks, paved the way for our Cashewgurt, which we feel stands up against the best dairy options in the market today.

FALL 2016 - CHIPS!

THE POMACE FROM OUR JUICES ARE REPURPOSED TO MAKE OUR ORGANIC VEGGIE TORTILLA CHIPS

Our veggie tortilla chips arrived in the fall of 2016!

After considering the volume of wasted pomace, as a bi-product of making cold pressed juices, we focussed our attention on re-purposing the pomace by dehydration. This produced a wonderfully crispy and delicous alternative to corn or potatoes. Once spiced, these chips pair incredibly well with salsa!
