Position: Sales Analyst
Reports to: Director, Operations
Location: Financial District, San Francisco
Forager Project is an organic, plant based California crafted Food Company established in 2013. We make exceptionally great tasting yogurts, nut milks, smoothies and re-imagined veggie tortilla chips. At Forager, we believe that the food we eat, is as important as the air we breathe. We’re looking for a Sales Analyst to lead our customer order planning and finished good inventory planning. This is a full-time position working out of Forager’s Headquarters in the Financial District of San Francisco, reporting to the Director of Operations.
Sales Analysis/Demand Planning
-Working with retailer and distributor partners to build their weekly Purchase Orders. Making sure they order enough to meet sell-through demand. Making sure they do not order too much to prevent shrink and returns.
-Using sell-through data to forecast risk of out-of-stocks, shrink and returns.
-Working with Sales team to proactively move or promote short coded inventory to reduce shrink and returns.
Finished Goods Inventory Management
-Working with 3rd party warehousing to determine what finished goods are available
-Working with our production facility to determine what/when finished goods will be available.
-Managing inventory by lot code.
-Determining finished good quantities for our weekly productions.
Long Term Forecasting
-Working with Sales Team to forecast future sales.
-Working with Operations team to plan capacity, raw materials and packaging.
-Helping to identify and execute cost savings opportunities.
Ad Hoc Support
-Ad Hoc reporting and support to support the team.
Required Minimum Qualifications
Must have a bachelor's degree or equivalent plus a minimum of 2 years related work experience (demand planning, forecasting, sales analysis, production planning or operations experience); be proficient in Microsoft Excel; must possess good customer communication skills and have great attention to detail (critical for this role!). Further, must be a self-starter, tenacious, motivated, eager to learn and passionate about food.
